We provide custom extrusions to a diverse range of customers in more than 16 different industries - from truck bodies to tile trim, aluminium joinery to high rise facades, big screens to fishing boats.
McKechnie® is the only aluminium extruder in New Zealand to have a remelt where recyclable aluminium is turned into new billets for extrusion. This means that our products have a high recycled content and a low carbon footprint.
McKechnie® is the only New Zealand aluminium extruder to gain third-party Toitū® carbonreduce product certification by Toitū Envirocare.
We have achieved a carbon footprint of 1.31kg of CO2e per kg of aluminium based on our direct emissions and those from our energy use (Scope 1 and 2) and a full lifecycle of just 8.13 CO2e per kg of aluminium verified through Toitū’s carbonreduce certification.
